Security Definitions

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 19:13

As I have been writing articles for this site, it occurred to me that I often use security terminology that readers may not understand. This thought led to the idea of writing a weekly article that would define one or more security terms.  Hopefully, this will give readers some basic knowledge they may not already have and also keep readers up on new terminology which seems to be introduced quite often, especially in computer security. The greater the understanding of these security terms, the better security issues will be able to be addressed.

If you like this idea, please write a comment to let me know.   Secondly, go to my “About” page and use the contact form to send me other security terms that you would like me to define or write about.  I have set up a separate category called “Security Dictionary” where all security definition articles will be located.  The title of the post will have the security term in it so you can easily find the word or words you are looking for.
