In the last post, we discussed UTM devices and how they may benefit your business.  The purpose of this post is to provide you with sources of UTM devices so you can research specific devices and the features of each.  Here is a list of UTM providers that were  gathered from a few different articles published in 2008 and the beginning of 2009.  The list may not be complete since there appears to be new providers coming out all the time, but this list will get you started.

A number of the above listed providers have more than one UTM device available so look at all the products and features of each before narrowing down the list of devices that may work with your particular business.

Another possible source for those businesses that do not mind working with open source solutions is the Untangle project.  It is a free open source package that contains a firewall, web filter, spam blocker, virus protection, spyware blocker, phishing attack blocker, openVPN, intrusion prevention system and other similar options.  Although I have not tried the Untangle Project myself, it does appear that it might be another possible source for you if you are looking to implement a UTM device on your network.

There are plenty of choices if you want to implement a UTM solution on your network.  Let me know if you try one and how it works for your business needs.
